Breaking the Silence

After over a month of not writing anything, I finally get some time to write something. Although its not much, its better than staying in silence for eternity. I actually wanted to touch basis on what's happening now, what may happen in the future, and the past is the past. Can Aniverse break out of the silence which is plagued with?
It has been over a month and a half since my last post I made and since then, it's been rough. Without an active community, Aniverse is quieter than a mouse and as dead as unpopular sites still lingering around the nets. And Aniverse is starting to sound like those unpopular sites which still hangs around the interwebs. My stats numbers tell me otherwise, with a surprising 400,000+ page views a month now (last month actually), a new record for Aniverse. That's an average of ~13,000 page views a day! This is something that rarely many sites claim to have in such a short amount of time. Now what perplexes me is this: how can this site generate such a large amount of views and bandwidth, yet not have a community, and doesn't always update everyday like other sites?
You point me to my gallery, saying that it may be the source for "your oh so called '400,000 page views'", which I won't deny. But you'd think out of the many people who visit, at least a couple would stick around.
So what's in store for Aniverse in the future? I had some plans to keep Aniverse moving forward hoping to implement workable community-based features. Some of these features have already been implemented and are either currently active or temporarily disabled. Sadly without a community, I can't fully utilize these features. They may not be ground-breaking features, like "wow no other site has this!" or something like that, but they work to keep a community together.
There was even thoughts on having contests at Aniverse since we are closely partnered with Otaku Mitsukai, an anime online store. This isn't possible without a community, you know, the one that people actually say something. That one.
I can go on about this and that, bottom line is that Aniverse lacks a community. Without a community Aniverse can't move forward much, it can for a little but there's only so much I can do by myself.
Until then, I will be working on a few things here and there on Aniverse, starting with the layout (again). Also I want to get a consistent batch of images to upload to the gallery so it can be even more diverse than it already is. I've also been wanting to share these Eroge CGs I've collected over some time now but I don't want to update Aniverse with just only Eroge stuff, I don't want to make Aniverse into a "hentai-only site" kinda thing, that wouldn't be good. ^^; There's some other things I really also need to focus on but mainly getting a community going is the top priority here for Aniverse. Hopefully things will turn out for the better.
